Question:

I would like to know how my wife and I should behave as I have an opportunity to move out of Georgia for a job opportunity this month; we filed for our I-130 last October 2014; and we’re expecting our interview by April 2015; so I was wondering how the fact that I moved out will affect my interview; also, my wife is in removal proceedings.

Answer:
You should have your immigration attorney file a Change of Venue for you. This will allow the proceeding to continue in the new state that you move to. If you don’t have an attorney you should seriously consider hiring one. Situations like these can easily cause problems in immigration cases. Be safe and have an attorney correctly prepare the paperwork for you!

Good Luck!
