Stem Luncheon

Stem (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Program

On June 1, 2016, Team McCranie welcomed new team member Lilia Olguin, STEM student and graduate of Coffee County High School. The STEM program is a summer internship. The STEM program was formed in 2013 and Mrs. Linda Cribbs has been the STEM program coordinator at Coffee High School since that time. Mrs. Cribbs will be retiring this year and she will be missed by many – students and local businesses.

STEM began with 11 businesses and 8 students and has successfully expanded to 28 businesses and 41 students. The main focus of STEM is to prepare and provide students with job opportunities in their desired career field.

On June 27, 2016, Lilia and Jennifer Story, our Head Paralegal, attended the Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce power luncheon. Like all STEM students, Lilia informed the attendees of the experience she has gained as an intern at the George McCranie Law Firm and how that experience has prepared her for her future career. Team McCranie has enjoyed participating with the STEM program and working closely with Lilia. Lilia is a very intelligent and driven young lady and we wish her and all other STEM students the best in all of their future endeavors.
